Brake Master cylinder

Ok, so I've removed the ABS pump, prop valve but kept the Brake Master cylinder. From what I've noticed, Master cylinders are different if the vehicle is equipped with ABS or not. In both cases the Masters all seem to have 2 ports, but the ABS equipped vehicle will have a screw on the side of the master which goes through the secondary piston. Not sure what the screw does, but it seems to limit the movement of the secondary piston. Also, this is why the piston kits are different for ABS equipped vehicle vs non ABS.

So, I've got a Master cylinder for ABS, but no ABS. From the Master I've got two lines going to a Wilwood prop valve, which splits the primary line to both front wheels and the secondary line can be adjusted for the rear lines. I basically added a T to utilize the OEM rear lines.

I would now like to change my master cylinder, if I can find a used one off a non ABS GTI-R, or if I can purchase one that won't cost $100

Nissan parts 4 u is awesome to find part #'s : piston kit non ABS = 4601169C25  & piston kit with ABS = 4601169C27

I also discovered that these piston kits are used for a bunch of other Nissans: Maxima 89-94, Stanza, Axxess, etc.

So with Rockauto I found a bunch of Master cylinders (with a 15/16 bore, for non ABS) that I think would fit our GTI-R's, but the issue I'm having is that they all have 4 ports!!! But why? The only 2 port masters I can find are with ABS. The only one I found suitable for my application would be from a 1990 Axxess, 15/16 bore, no ABS, 2 ports ..... my problem... comes without the reservoir :-\ and one component I do not trust from my master is the switch under the reservoir seem to have a minor leak.

Anyways, long story short, can anyone help me? Anyone found an abordable Brake Master cylinder that will work for a non ABS GTI-R with 2 ports?

Thanks

One option would be to get the master cylinder from www.Rockauto.com (non ABS, 2 ports, no reservoir) and get the reservoir and seals from www.factorynissanparts.com and hope that the reservoir fits on the master :-\

my master cylinder have 4 ports because I don't have abs...

abs equiped nissan cars have 2 ports
non-abs have 4 ports

by the way prop valves are for rear wheels, not front. you don't need to regulate pressure for front wheels and rear brakes are there to balance braking between front and rear so those need a prop valve

Ok, well I just learned something, my friend has a non ABS GTI-R and his master on ly has 2 ports and no screw on the side of the secondary.

So it seems that some non ABS have 2 ports and some 4.

I know, my wilwood prop valve does two things, splits the line from the primary piston to each front wheel and has a prop valve for the rear. So I can regulate pressure going to the rear wheels only.

i just deleted my abs rejigged the lines on the prop valve.

i also am using a 1inch master off an altima with abs.

works fine, maybe a bit too front biased, but that can be cured with pad choice
