How many more is there? I know some of you guys are in CA and there are a few in FL. Someone told me there are about 20 in the USA, so I just wanted to know how many we really have here.

Just curious how much do they go for in the states approximation? Do you guys have strict rules for JDM vehicles in the states?

I'm told 6-12K, depending on papers and condition, I'm told. I got mine as a basket case in parts for $3500, however, it was already here and just about 5 miles away...
You have no idea how bad we have it... Here in WA, they have no mercy at all. Unless the car was domestically available in the USA, you can not bring in in the country (note this includes RHD), unless they are over 25 years old then its no big deal. At least thats how it is in WA. I know if some other states they have some lax rules, but having a papered/plated car here is vary costly if done as a real GTIR. So I'm told.

I'm in skagit valley, I've got a 93 Gti-R, and My buddy has one about 30 minutes north of me, it's red. Then Another friend of mine has a Gti-RB that's white down in the seattle area. This is my second one, I use to have a red one, I sold it, realized 6 months later how big a mistake I made, and tracked down another one asap. I paid $4500 for it as a junker with no turbo parts at all, caged it, painted it, put a new turbo/intercooler/etc and the rest is history.

I know of at least four in CT. I have a black 92', a customer of a local shop that I work at occasionally has two (one pretty much stock and one currently being built up) and I saw another at the local UCONN car show.

dead91 your state of WA is weird,i titled alot of jdm cas for people in WA. they wont do the initial first US title,BUT they they will transfer a title of jdm car if it was titled in another state
I know its odd! Right now the WA State Patrol is hunting down illegal JDM cars and crushing them. Mostly Honda's and a few VW's and Nissan's....
