I have a 1991 GTi-R and finding reasonable insurance is so hard, I got quoted from rio insurance broker and they said 1200 a month, like i new buying the car that insurance wasnt going to be cheap but I was expecting something like 500-600 a month basically what I am trying to say is I am looking for a good insurance company that will give me a decent quote, so what are you guys insured with?
Mine was $1600 at first, $1200 is cheap for this car, as far as im concerned.
Im 21 and I pay $800 through Farmers...its also insured in Colorado so I don't know if insurance is cheaper in the states? I have full coverage and $10k loss replacement

How old are you and I could move my licence address from Brampton to Barrie but I don't know if that would change it because I'm only 17 but I have a clean driving record and driving school, so I probably will contact state farm for a quote what should I tell them when I call should I say it's rhd or should I just give them the vin and say its a Nissan pulsar and If they ask then tell them
Jesus that's some pricey insurance. This is why I'm glad to live in Saskatchewan.... $90 a month for my R and when I plate it next summer it'll be even cheaper.

My car is insured at my Peterborough address. You have to have been with State Farm 6 months previous before they will insure a rhd for you (don't ask me why?). I gave them full disdisclosure. Told them rhd Nissan Pulsar GTi-R and they even have it registered with the JDM VIN.
Also I am 26. They werent phased when I first asked them about rhd. They knew what to do with zero issues (the way it should be).
Odd. I called Farmers in the past and I got the response of "no rhd"
I miss Sask insurance rates as well. However Ontario doesnt seem to care about the DOT compliance.

Jesse - I`ve had a clean license for over 5 years so now I start getting a discount on my plates.
I have insurance on the two side, fire, rob and scracth, etc. The full package for less than 1200$ a year!!! I'm with BelAir Direct in Quebec. I'm 22 and I have nothing in my driving folder too.

I told them i bought the car for $800 and they didn't seem to care.
Have two years driving experience under my current car (2003 Accord), but this seems ridiculous. Think, i'll keep the fact that the car is RHD quiet. Might even tell them its a '91 Pulsar NX!

i just realize that in B-C, its the province itself that insure you. they insure you wathever you got a RHD, LHD or a ferari 2012. but its only for basic insurence, if you want go colision insurence, you got to got private and $$$$$

GTi-R, the best ugliest car I've EVER seen/driven. You can make it cool, you can make it fast but you CAN'T make it look pretty.
just got insurance last week on my car, 180/mth for liability fire and theft, 26 no tickets aurora ontario... I thought it was high and was going to shop around but from these posts looks like i got a great rate...
