Import to Cali

Hello ppl lookin for info on importing to Cali a gtir been look for months but no luck if you can help plz let me know thanks

there is no legal way to do this import to the US. The only way is to get it registered in Florida, you can get away with all sorts of crap there. The car will be titled and registered, but will still be illegal since it hasnt passed Federal or EPA inspection. Make sure you got tons of extra cash for all the lawyer fees etc, when the feds come knocking.

^ He's right... I got mine from a friend of a friend and in got it about 10 miles from my house here in Seattle. The car was cut in half and imported as parts. I just finished welding it together and now fixing to get it road worthy.... Best bet is to buy one in Canada and bring it over the boarder. How, I dont know.

Registering it in the USA legally, will be possible, when they are 25 years old... doing the Florida thing cost about $3600, last time I checked, about 2 months ago. However, it's still not D.O.T approved. You wanna a GTIR in the states, you gotta walk on the wild side ;-)

yeah canada suck that they have the 15 year old rule, my 91 will b 25 years old in 4 more years but I thought the rolling 25 year oldrule doesnt apply anymore which was replaced by the pre 1975 rule, correct me if I'm wrong??
Kit car reg or reg it as a '89 pulsar which I might go that route but yeah deadsilvia put it right, you gotta walk on the wild side
