Hello everyone, my name is Rutger and I'm from the Netherlands. As many of you have probably also experienced it has become extremely difficult to find parts and info for the Gti-r anymore. I used to be pretty active on a UK based forum but that one, and another even larger one died out completely in the last few years. Seems it has become quiet here as well?

I'm currently standing next to my Gti-R which sits in a rotisserie for a full body restoration. I found another N14 with no rust so I'm converting the arches and other parts to my own R. It has the common bent front chassis members but other than that no body damage. If anyone is interested I could upload a couple of pictures of the work.

I'm also looking for some parts for which I'll set out a wanted topic :)

Cheers, Rutger

We'd love to see it, Welcome to the forum! Please use the forum picture uploader and not an external photo hosting site, so the pictures remain preserved here forever.  I LOVE to see people's restorations.  I too am currently replacing inner rear suspension turrets.  Not sure if you know or not, but the turret skins are available from Carz2uk.com.  They refer to them as 'mudguards"  I have a set and they're made in Russia and are a gauge thicker than the OE metal.  The floor support rails are still available on the right hand side, but left side is discontinued.  Not too expensive really.

Thanks for the welcome, I bought the right floor rail (75180-55c00) but still looking for the other one. Might consider cutting it from a 5 door if I can find it in good condition, If mine appears unrepairable. I was lucky when it came to the turrets, the sunny I found had zero rust so I cut the entire rear end out of it and converted the complete inner and outer towers, will share some pictures. Here's some before the restoration;

Yes, I have had no luck finding a left side floor support either. Seems odd that Nissan would discontinue one side and not the other. I've been searching for ages.

I haven't yet bought my rotissere but I'm getting there slowly.

Nice your Pulsar already looked pretty clean. I'm excited to see how you make out with the restoration.

Hard to tell from the pictures, is that thing left hand drive? I'd love to own a lhd pulsar some day. It would just save so many hassles in Canada.

Yes it is, very rare nowadays. Tuned imported RHD examples have asking prices of around 10.000 euros the last 2 I saw. The LHD's are roughly worth twice as much (I hope ;) ) Will upload more pics of the restoration.

What hassles? Are they restricted in your province? In the USA they make no distinction between LHD and RHD.  ALmost all of our Rural postal delivery vehicles are RHD, for obvious reasons.

It can be hard to get insurance in Canada. Though where I live in BC it's not an issue.
I see the pics so not sure why you can't.

I never had problems with linking pictures from my website, but perhaps they were doing maintenance last night

Yea, sometimes I can't see certain linked pictures cause of my shitty ISP here in Africa.  That's why I wanted you to use the forum uploader, I can always see those.  Flickr works too.

Not an issue, but expensive as hell. The ICBC are ripoff artists.  I had to buy a full policy/registration when I bought a pulsar from Vancouver just to drive it across the border, and then I couldn't get a refund after the fact.  Basically cost me like $300 for a 2 hour drive lol.
