AEM FI/C controller install

With some help from the board, tech support and a few other places I found on the net I was able to get an AEM FI/C controller (p/n 30-1910) working problem free on the Pulsar. Here is the twist though, I was able to find both the cam and crank circuit coming from the CAS. I figured i would post my connections to "give back" to the board and for the next poor bugger that is going to be doing this.

Anyway the connections

MAF connection is pin 30 and is orange

Injectors
1, 101 white black
2, 110 yellow black
3, 103 green black
4, 112 light blue black

O2 = 19 white

IGN power = 36 black and red

TPS = 20 white

pwr ground 1 = 6 black
pwr ground 2 = 48 black
sensor ground = 21/29 black (use either)

UEGO = 19 white

Now for the crank and cam.

the two signals that come out of the CAS represent the cam signal and crank signal. Splitting them out is the hard part because you need a scope to make sure you have the right one on each side. I happen to have a scope and this is what I found for this car.

In order to hook these up properly you must realize that the signal from the sensor comes out in four wires, a power, ground, cam and crank. for the purposes of this document we are focusing on the the two signal wires.

these two wires are yellow and blue and the weird thing that got me was that they split into another two wires about four inches from the ecu. its best that you open the sheathing around the ecu wire loom and make your connection above (motor side) the intercept connection. If you only grab one side of the connection the FI/C will not work.

So the crank side is 31/40 and is yellow, the cam side is 22/30 and is blue.

Remember to intercept the signal before it splits and goes into the ecu or it just wont work!!

Oh ya, I used this pin out diagram
http://www.canadagtir.com/articles/ecu-pinout-diagram-90-94-pulsar-gti-r-sr20det

Hope this helps out guys.

hi and thanks for your guide! By the way maf is pin 16 not 30!

Oh and just a question did you add the resistor on the o2 wire like they did ?
You think you cauld share your file.fi6 ?

Thanks

so when you mean the crank side is 31/40, what do i hook up there? are those the pins at the ecu that i should splice into for the crank. and the same for the cam?

The wires for the crank signal on the fic go here...cam signal is 22/30

Your girlfriend sucks

I'm still lost as shit. Is there a diagram or a photo you can send me in my pm?

I think i understand this now correct me if I'm wrong. The crank sensor in goes to one of the wires that splits in to two, the hard part it to find wich wire i splice into. and the other one goes to the ground.
