the long cap with the philips screws on the window motor, remove it. Don't worry if it's hard to open just pull hard. the brushes are inside and i am sure one of the 2 is busted and missing. The brushes are used as a ground in electric motors.
on this picture, at the right of the blue wire there are 2 holders. the top one have a brush, the bottom one is missing it. that's what always happened with my windows motor. the way to fix it is find another brush aproximatively the same size and glue it with epoxy on the holder so it won't come off again.
open it and fix the brushes inside, that's what i did on mines
you could also try to go see someone who rebuild starter and alternator.
brushes? mine dont move. so not sure wat to do. i heard other nissans got the same part

1st gen pathfinder. direct bolt up plug and play. need to reverse the polarity of the wires though
