mine is a supersonic sleeper (black) on the original hose.im not happy with the sound i dont know if its just me, but i have to go to full boost (15psi) for it to go off. ill try my friends ssqv to see how it is on my car. can you put up a pic of your set up and a close up of the bov
Mine is not welded. I have an adapter that fits in the stock dump tube off the intake manifold. Basically, the SSQV clips into its adapter, which then "plugs" into the stock pipe where the oem bov was. I've plugged off the recirc port on the air intake tube for the turbo inlet and the ssqv vents to atmosphere.
you may want to turn down the spring tension on the bov or else hook up a vacuum line to all 4 ports on the throttle bodies for it go off. itb's don't generate the same amount of vacuum as a single tb
besides, i'd find it annoying if my bov was going off every time i lifted off the throttle.. mine only goes off really on hard throttle lift or above 7 or 8psi. too attention whore if its going whoosh every single time for me
Mine is routed via the 4 ports on the throttle bodies. Sometimes it does not open unless I snap off the throttle. If I let off the throttle slowly, there is either no noise at all, or some turbo flutter, or the bov opens.
Want to trade for my HKS SSQV? Version 2. (I think). Which turbosmart do you have and why are you wanting to get rid of it?

turbosmart is a much better bov and ive had both trade for the hks one instead off the forge
the green dragon
is yours welded on or on the original piping

same setup as i have. and yours works well at all boost levels

i have the 4 vacuum and the yellow spring which should be the soft one, and its on the softest setting
