in the porsche example they raise the steering rack which really isn't possible in the gti-r, these just lower the tie rod end mounting point closer to the steering knuckle. plus they're heim jointed not a rubber bushing
Thanks for the clarification Nick, I never really had a look at the stock configuration of the steering rods. How much of a difference (in handling) did you notice after installing these?

Typically you install them after you've lowered your car to bring back the correct steering geometry.
