Anyone ever tried "Standard" Size Tires?
OK this might be a bit crazy, I haven't even looked at suspension or fender clearance so I'm kind of just asking this because it popped in to my head...
Has anyone ever tried a "Standard" size tire on their Pulsar with STOCK suspension? By "Standard" I mean the more common height/diameter of 25 inches instead of what our pulsars use (which is 22.5 inches)
so for example, a 205/60/15 or 195/65/15
And yes, I realize that my speedo will read incorrectly if I were stupid enough to do this... dont try to understand my logic, just let me know if it will clear or not if you have any idea :D
thanks guys, as always!
John

im 1 inch higher than a stock suspension .
what is the question ? i run a small set off rally tire (185/60r15) ans my street tire are 195/50r15
The questions is will they fit? There is the issue of the tire hitting the fender somewhere when the suspension compresses (Stock suspension has a lot of travel).
the other problem is that it might not clear the lower perch on the front shocks since it sits directly above the tire.. at least on most cars.. i havent looked too closely in there on the pulsar
195/60r14 blizzaks on my car. I noticed the inner splash guard has rubbing marks on it now. Quite small, but still there nonetheless.

I used 195/50 R15's, 185/60 R14's and 195/55 R15 R-Compound Tires (meaty tread) All with no clearance issues.
Sadly. Sold my Pulsar
meatball, im assuming you were not using stock suspension though if you were running r-compounds??

what are you referring to exactly when you say splashguard.. the "mud flaps" ? are we talking front or rear?
thanks!

No, the inner fender splash guards. The ones that protect the engine bay from splashing from driving. Just had a few small rubs. I will go look at the car tomorrow and snap some pics if I can to show you.
