Pulsar Recall
I've never seen this on any GTI-R forum, so thought I would post it here.
Today I came across a website listing Japanese market recalls. (I work in the auto industry...)
For kicks, I looked up the GTI-R and sure enough there was 1 recall listed.

The recall was for a capacitor in the ignition which could leak or burn out - worst case, catch fire.
I think it does explain the little green sticker on my VIN plate though that I've noticed before but never paid attention to. The notice says that a green sticker is to be attached to the "upper part of the dash panel inside the engine compartment" to indicate the repair is done.
Anyone else have this?

i never seen this recall , but i have never heard of that capacitor catching fire on any b13, pulsar,p10 very interesting, good find
my car does and two parts cars had them; green sticker on firewall varies in position.

Noticed anything "funny" with the exchange rates and parts prices lately:

I don't have a green sticker either.
will Nissan Canada honour the recall?
our cars are probably too old
I think a recall is binding isn't it?
yeah it's probably only binding in the home market
i doubt it applies to grey market imports

seems that recalls are not even mandatory for domestic vehicles either...
ie. recently "{Ford} cruise control switches were found to catch fire under a variety of circumstances, which in turn forced Ford to ante up and fix the issue for free. Oddly enough though, not many owners with the defective switches took their vehicles in and as of September 2008, five million vehicles still needed the fix."
