Possible TPS alternate?
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows if a Nissan NX2000 throttle position sensor could be used for the gti-r? i know the nx2000's is the same as the sentra's, and nx1600. Either the 1.6 or 2.0 liter. the nx2000's part number is 22620-58Y00. and the gti-r's part number is 22620-54C17. The reason i'm asking is because they are way less expensive than a gti-r one. Unless someone has a new one for 60 bucks? :P Thanks guys.
No, they are not the same.
The GTI-R uses a TPS that swings in the opposite direction as a regular NX2000/1600 and even the Silvia ones do not transfer over.
Unfortunately your stuck getting a used one or buying a new one as no other vehicle uses that particular TPS set-up. (which is why they probably cost so much)
Ah crap, oh well. So i should be able to just bring that part number into any nissan place and they should be able to get it for me?
As long as they're comfortable ordering in parts from Japan without knowing what it is (in other words you pay full price when they find out how much it'll cost). Then Yes, yes they do.... only some dealerships are willing to do this so you may have to go to a few before you'll get it.
