i have real hid on my car. But that said when u saw my car i had my 323 lights on it and the next night i swapped to my pulsar lights .at least i think it was the next night lol. either way with a glass housing the heat is not really an issue. mine was fine. when i ccome back up you can take a closer look.
ok i was wromg i already had the e code lights on the car when i saw u lol. but when i come back up there the hid lights will be back in.
oh and the non hid lights i have in there are hella lights. i actually got them from a buddy who lives in kelowna. got to lordco and ask for Scott the guy who drives the turbo supra tell him who u r and that u r and that u r looking for the hella headlights he gave me and he will hook u up on a discount ofcourse. they arent expensive either.
lol...ok ill go have a chat. thanx

hey guys, i have hid lights on my car, they are k7000's and they are honestly fucking great, the car has no problem powering them or dealing with the heat from them, id probably never go back to std lights on any car ever again lol
I have them on my R (6000k H4 Mecanical high/low) and they are just great! Not a single problem and light up the road really well. If you want some, I suggest the Firehawk stuff (that's what I have). The ballast is rated -40 to 0+ celcius and is about the size of a Razr phone.
The only distributor in Canada so far is www.mchip.ca (sorry the site is in French)

And here's a photo of the product:

Here's the translation of the description:
Digital Mini-Ballast :: 66mm x 73mm x 12mm (5x smaller than a regular analog ballast)
Double HID system :: high and low controlled by a solenoid
Sealed connections directly to the ballast
Each component of the mini ballast has been tested to very low temperatures (perfect for North America)
Bulbs ready for 3000 hours of lighting
1 year waranty on bulbs and ballast
Firehawk mini ballasts take 9 to 18v current
Firehawk mini ballasts eliminates the HID flashing effect of DRL
Available in 6000k, fully legal for North America
so how do those work - do you just plug your old headlight wiring into the ballast?
Everything is pretty straightforward. your headlight connector connects to some wiring that goes to the ballast, and the ballast is connected to the battery. If you want to only keep the low beams then its as simple as that. If you want a module that lets you choose between high and low beam then you have to add the (included) module that controls the solenoid. Again this is absolutely straightforward
