hey, i originally pulled the fuse, witch works fine ,it kills the power to the abs system. i personally deleted everything associated with the system:ecu, pump, lines, wiring, etc luckily my brother is a genius with wiring and did an amazing job doing this for me! if you just want to stop the system from coming on then pull the fuse, this will work fine and it does not hurt anything in the system ! the real reason i went to the extreme is because i have moved all the wiring out of the engine bay and run it all inside the fenders to clean up the bay,and also to clear room for my liquid inter cooler set up, also i have upgraded my front brakes and the abs system will not operate properly with larger calipers ! if you want a good write up about these facts look on the gtir uk forum and do a search on the forum for ( ABS ) and there are many write ups on this topic ! good luck ,have fun !cheers

Hi, most Nissan/Infiniti ABS systems until the early 2000s for North America market have no Consult support.  Case in point, I believe it was a 2001 X-Terra(WD22) I was working on had to have the Consult DLC jumped between 2 pins for flash codes whereas the following year it has scan tool support; weird that the same body/chassis changes electronics but it's like that with auto manufacturers.  Anyways, I'm not sure which pins will have to be jumped, but I'm sure you can find that information somewhere.  If it's just a wheel speed sensor I'd check the resistance of it and see if it has any frequency with a Multimeter(Hz).   I found this on the internet, it may help you out.  I've never tried it out, but it's worth a  shot.

why does everyone have such a hate on for the factory gtir abs system? Mine seems to work fine? I can't find anything on the uk forums about the gtir being specifically bad.
