She's gonna take some work

IMG_0136.jpgGot a '91 GTiR here in Japan, and I knew it would be a bit of a project. She's limping right now, but atleast she's not hemoraging fuel out of every injector anymore. Instead of chasing down each problem and strapping some duct tape to it, I'm gonna go ahead and move on with the build, starting with fuel and ignition systems.

My question first of all is this :

Which SR20 Fuel rail will fit my 91 GTiR? It looks like the same as the S15's SR20DET rails, but because it's a '91 I woulda thought it had an S13 style.

Any feedback/knowledge/suggestions before I drop a couple hundred bucks into the wrong hole?

s15's use a sidefeed red/brown injector with sidefeed rail IIRC.  GTiR uses a top feed rail.  Get an aftermarket one if you are having issues with the factory one.

Also......BUY ME PARTS IN JAPAN AND SEND THEM TO ME!!!!  are you on the japan GTIR forums?  What is the parts availability there?  Can you get aftermarket glass? eg windshields/windows.  What about nismo parts availability?

the best gtir rail    https://www.gspec.com/p-7378-fuel-rail-gti-r.aspx    , can be used with msd style topfeed injectors , the s13 or s15 doesn't fit 7378_2_.jpg

There is not alot worng with the stock fuel rail, unless you're going for massive bhp. Evo injectors fit and are a good upgrade for reasonable money. Same with the ignition system, if its in good conditiont its capable of supporting all but biggest builds.
Also hold onto that grill, they're getting rarer and selling for pretty big wedge

you can pick up used and new injectors from upgarage or yahoo auc

there's tons of stuff on there, even motors

i still use yahoo auc from canada, but i visit japan almost annually and my bestfriend lives there so his place is a storage warehouse for me

If you decide to sell your foglamp grill please let me know or if you could source one for me while you are there? Thanks

This has been really helpful, thanks alot. As far as the grill goes, I need to rerun the wires for it, the last guy had some cheap stuff all kinda mushed together, and I couldn't tell where the foglamps started and the damn nean bars ended, so I cut it all out.

When I go in to reconnect the fog lamps, I'll check the product number and see if I can hook ya up with info on getting 'em that way

While I'm here, Anyone know where to get the Apexi Power FC, or some similar such ECU, or if there's a good piggyback system I could use before I step up the fuel system beyond capacity of the stock ecu?

how much power are you trying to make, if you want a aggressive tune on stock injectors and a stock maf check on yahoo auctions for a mines ecu
