Replacing Oil Seal for shifter striking rod

The oil seal for the striking rod on my transmission has had it and is now leaking quite a bit of transmission fluid when parked. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to just replace the Oil Seal(Part 8 in image below) and Striking rod boot(Part 5 in image below) WITHOUT taking apart the tranny in pieces?

Nevermind, answered my own question by looking up the Service Manual Volume 2 Page section MT 6&7.

It can be done!
