Agreed if your car is running good and your gauge shows appropriate pressure.. its probably the switch... these old cars used analog signals for gauges. So basically if your oil light was hooked up to the pressure sensor it would just glow brighter as pressure rose. hence a NC pressure switch, which will open when oil pressure drops below a certain thresh hold and illuminate your light.
I have no clue where the switch is though lol.,, is it on the oil filter boss/cooler ?

FSM says at idle pressure should be more than .98 bar/1.0kg cm2
3200 RPM 3.43-4.41 bar/3.5-4.5kg cm2
but I'm guessing the oil pressure SWITCH (separate from the sending unit for the gauge) is either junk or has come unplugged
at idel cold its at 4 bars and when it get hot it goes to 2 to 3 bars.i have to check to see if the wire came off
