People just change the filter and that's about it. I'm using an A'pexi filter, I just had to re-drill holes on my MAF to bolt the filter directly onto it but it did fit perfectly. Takes 10 minutes to drill the 2 new holes.
I'm thinking about getting a custom one done, just bought a new filter, and bov, and i have the 1 bar loop, so i have no "ducts" leading off the main intake pipe, i'm thinking about doing a nice aluminum one to clean things up and make more room. I haven't seen any after market pipes that are aluminum, K&N has one, but its that flex hose stuff.
You will indeed need a custom made pipe. Don't forget about the pipe from the valve cover that goes to the intake pipe.
If you have relocated your battery to the trunk you can put your filter behind the passenger headlight with a 2.5" 45 degree pipe like I did (although I have a 2.75" pipe because of my turbo)
has anyone got intake kits for it like a short ram or an actuall cold air intake that goes to the front fender?
