headgasket + copper spray?

im finally about to put my motor together, the head is flat (not decked) and the block is straight (again not decked) and im using an hks head-gasket. my question is about copper spray, i wasn't going to use it but we just did a tomei HG on a GTR and it didn't last long after his head was decked. anybody build engines for a lot of boost (i have some big plans), with any recommendations? i dont want to hear about civics with cometics, thanks!

We use Permatex Hi-Tac on MLS gaskets...

And, never had a Cometic fail...

i'll give it a few coats, all that i could find searching the web was honda forums using it on there cometics for like 230whp, hence why i wanted to know if people are using it on the higher end gaskets, like tomei, hks, cosworth. sorry if i offended lol

I don't get offended by others opinions. I was just making the comment.

What failed on the Tomei? I ran one in my GTR for a year after having both the block and head resurfaced, it out lasted the ACL race bearings...

guessing the skim job on the head wasn't the best, and we didn't spray it for any imperfections, he car has drivin 300kms in the last year and after the studs and HG it went 20kms
and i remember reading about your problems on gtrc, so i've been scared off of ACL and cometic's, and i guess the SR20 ARP headstuds aren't the right length. so i decided to go with stock head bolts, hks gasket and clevit bearings

Hehehehe. I wouldn't be scared of the ACL's, but make sure the clearances are right for big boost! I'm going to Clevites this time.
