10% @ 100psi is too much. 5-7% I'd consider to be ok. That's my rule for any engine.

a leak down test is more to know where is the leak ..
exhaust side ( valve)
intake side ( valve)
oil system ( ring)
prestone system ( head gasket )
if your valve are not close correctly, you will have a lot of pressure lost

i realize that but whats the max % leak down thats allowable to be considered a good engine to purchase?
