front o2 sensor

Hi guys ,

I got my engine back from the mechanic with the connector completly ripped off the o2 sensor (one that seems to be going to the turbo).
From what I know, this is gtir specific only and no other parts are compatible. Is there a way to repair this if I find the proper connector for it ?

Thanks,
Matt

mines was cut aswell, i just solderd female ends on the cut o2 and i stuck them on inside the plug in, ( i looked on my buddys gtir to see what wires went where ) the black wire on the harness goes to the white wire on the o2 and the white wire on the harness goes to the black on the o2 and the other wire goes to the green wire on the harness, hope this helped !

just cut and splice the old conector onto the new o2 sensor... solder it heat shrink... just like oem ;)

Really? just go W/O a connector and splice and solder all the wires,,, and when you need a new one... do it again... really easy and cheap

Taking the thread off topic, but is there any reason why a larger bung cannot be welded in so that a standard SR20 O2 sensor can be used? After all, isn't an O2 sensor an O2 sensor? If I'm incorrect, please clarify.

If I remember correctly, it comes down to Zirconia or Titania type sensors which have different properties...
