here is a list of a ton of parts for the gti-r http://www.mlc-trading.com/mlc-overseas/o-rnn14.htm
you can probably order them through takakaira , greenline or something of the like.

else get a custom built one.

i've got a fujitsubo legalis r, very quiet however its got a small diameter 2.25 inch pipe. personally for me, i want it quiet and am willing to give up a few hp. i paid 250$ for mine, however i shipped it back with my stuff from japan when i moved back.. so i have no idea what it would cost u to ship.

is that for the cat back or just for the muffler?

not sure about the others but the fujitsubo is a catback

go with a side dump exhaust!!! if you want you can buy my exhaust and ill buy a side dump...lol..they are soooo sweet! there is a pic of one in the gallery on this site. they cost about 750CAD which when you think about it is pretty good cos i paid over 1000 for mine. the guy that did mine did an elbow for me as well though and it is 3" mandrel bent 316 stainless steel so it is pretty high quality stuff.

that is my exhaust...it come directly off the turbo with a custom 3" flange and 2 resonators inline. it goes under the rear diff and the first pic is the end of the exhaust...i have had it changed since that pic so that i have more ground clearance. but i dont have pics of that

to be honest there is no point in getting a cat back exhaust. i had mine like that initially and didnt notice much,if any, difference in power until i did the turbo elbow and front pipe. the thing is that if you go from 2" to 3" then you are basically working with a 2" exhaust cos you can only fit as much exhaust in a 2" pipe as a 2" pipe will take..not sure if that makes sense but i think you guys know what i mean. lol...basically if you are goign to do an exhaust and you want a performance change then do the entire thing or you wont be happy. the difference on the stock set up to a turbo back 3" exhaust is huge!

not everyone wants the noise associated with a straight thru 3inch catback. nor the attention it gets from the police particularly in the greater vancouver area.

you can always sacrifice bhp and put in a silencer... or a resonator

yea the car is pretty loud but damn it sounds good....with the silencer in it is actually pretty quiet. it doesnt sound like a honda or anything for that matter. it has its own sound and i love it and to me it cant be too loud. thats just me though..lol

lol yeah thats the sound of SR , it has its own destictive sound, it doesnt sound like any other motor, very unique sound, whick i am in love with hahaha, especially with 3inch turbo back HKS exhaust hahahah :D:D:D

Posted: Fri, 03/07/2008 - 5:46pm

i thought hks only does a 60mm down pipe for the gtir? do you have the turbo elbow replaced as well or from the elbow back?

i have the turbo elbow replaced as well, it has a custome flange to fit the t28

Posted: Sun, 03/09/2008 - 10:16am

I love my Exhaust although on high rpm it can get a little weird sounding. not sure how it sounds outside the car tho just know how it sounds inside. But it looks good on the car and i like that as well.

hey i wondering how you exhaust fits around the rear axel, does it go over like the stock one, or under. do you have a pic?

if ur askin bout my exhaust it goes over the rear axel. not sure if i have a pic that shows that angle check my website and see.

Posted: Wed, 03/12/2008 - 10:00pm

lol mine goes under the rear axle..it allows for a straighter pipe and less bends...it also looks awesome cos you can see this huge 3" stainless piping curving around the rear diff...pretty impressive if you ask me

rich, do you ever have any trouble scraping stuff with the 3" pipe below the axle?

umm sometimes...if ur careful there are no problems...its all in the rear exhaust hanger...if it is hung correct then there is lots of clearance,...it also depends on what suspension you are running. i have white line springs so my car isnt totally dumped like some n14's

AM-Performance Exhaust going on my car.

Posted: Sat, 03/22/2008 - 7:53am

I dont have the money to fully replace my exhaust right now, but what do you think about gutting my stock cat. it seems to be really rattly at about 3000 rpm, it could be all the heat shields and whatnot..

that exhaust is going to be soooo loud!! mine is 3" but i have 2 resonators in line. i had mine as a straight pipe at first and then added resonators until it wasnt obnoxious. hope you have good ear plugs lol.

Don't mind loud...played in too many bands to have any hearing anyway! It's just a track car now as well!

yup i ran that for about 6 months...i put in a test pipe though instead of gutting the cat cos that platinum is super bad for you and the environment...anyway it works ok but i upped my boost to 1 bar and to be honest if you are going to change ur exhaust do the whole thing 3" right off the turbo or you wont get the performance difference...i changed my exhaust in stages...first the decat pipe with stock everything else...then i had a 3" turbo elbow and downpipe made to mate to the test pipe...that in its self made a nice difference in spool up time, from there i changed the rear exhaust and went under the rear diff...that was the best change by far! the car spools up extreamly fast and the power change is actually noticable...so ya ...if ur going to do anything just do it right if you want the performance benifits...if you just want noise then take the black box off the back and do a straight pipe..lol.
the only other exhaust that i considered and was extreamly close to making was a side dump exhaust coming out the front bumper...that would have been soo wicked, to have flames spurting out the side of the car...mmmm

cops would have loved you with the side dump lol, but that would have been cool to see

yea..thats what stopped me from doing it...but damn it would have been cool...lol

the only reason I want to gut my cat is because I dont have enough money to buy anything, and smashing up my cat is a couple minutes work now because my car is already on jackstands, right now im replacing my clucth! hard work...

man, dont gut the cat, go to canadian tire or something, get some exhausg pipe and a couple size adaptors and for now either clamp it in or if you have access weld it in inplace of the cat, it wont cost you more than $20, i did it for my truck untill i bought the exhuast for that

Posted: Thu, 04/03/2008 - 8:38am

Or you can buy a test pipe off ebay for $60...

Posted: Thu, 10/15/2009 - 8:19am

I have a complete stock exhaust right now and planning on installing a test pipe. how much of a performance gain am I looking at ? is it worth it at all ?

Posted: Thu, 10/15/2009 - 8:42am

pretty big
