clutch pedal

hello all!

Now we all know about our terrible clutch pedal issues, well I think I may have found a new one, it seems that my pedal where the master cylinder attaches to the pedal has been stretched out so the pedal feels like it has a second stage? any ideas on this, will this damage anything, now it has been like this since I had bought the car, i didnt think anything of it except everyonce in a while I lose all hydrolic pressure and i have sufficient fluid, as well as there is kind of a bang when i release the clutch while driving it doesnt sound like the clutch is doing it but something connected to the pedal, any ideas?
