First thing, make damn sure all of your battery terminals and starter 12v (thick wire to starter) are squeaky clean and make a good connection. If that doesn't help, take the little ignition wire off of the starter (the small plug,) stick a test light or voltmeter on it, and have someone turn it over(be careful if your under the car!) you can see if your actually getting an ignition signal. If you do that and find you are in fact getting a signal,it's probably the starter motor getting tired, then you should pull the starter and have it tested.(you can always try tapping on it to see if it will fire up too.) If you are NOT getting power to the wire, then I would go about checking your ignition switch (the one your key goes into,) I would just pop off the steering column shroud (plastic cover just behind the steering wheel) and find the plug that goes to your ignition switch, keep it plugged together (your getting power through that plug AND sending power through that plug,)Stick a test light on the starter wire and turn the key to see if you get power, and sometimes when they get old you can jiggle them slightly to make a connection. Try checking those things and let us know. It should be one or the other. But usually this problem is due to a bad power/ground, or a bad starter motor.
