Ok so someone came to me today and offered me a great deal for a black top sr20 out of a 180sx.
i was wondering if there is any reason it wouldnt work in my gtir
But it still wont work as the block is designed to mate to a rwd transmission which has different mounting holes. plus the manifold is different, so a gtir wont bolt up directly, the head is completely different as the CAS enters through the side.
it will not fit. its a rwd motor. bell housing is different and the engine mounts are different
gtir block is skinnier to clear the awd transmission/transfer case
so no, not a good idea

I'm pretty sure all sr20det are skinny block IIRC
