what car would have the right one i am guessing a belt of a sr-20 none (sentra ; g20) turbo would work but just want to make sure before i run down to the parts store tomorrow.
it's a bitch and a half to remove the nuts holding the pipe's onto the firewall, awkward, and use i think a 1 inch or 1 and 1/16 i can't remember... enjoy
PS: take the Damn coil out of the dash its a solid five pounds and you get two neat and tidy holes through the fire wall to run all your after market wiring battery cables etc

^^ yep. take apart the "cooling unit" and inside you'll find the heat/cold exchanger. Remove it and put the unit back together and reinstall in the original place. Plug the firewall holes with a grommet from Nissan. I can't remember the part number for it though.
How difficult is the coil to get at? I removed a/c(that cast bracket for the compressor weighed a ton!) so theres some mad weight reduction going on, i want to take that extra 5 pounds out too.
it is not hard at all. glove box out, take the unit out, split the case, then remove the "coil" or heat exchanger. Put the unit back together sans "coil" or heat exchanger, and install is reverse of removal. Glove box back in and job done.
oh, i thought it would be deeper and all sorts of dash pieces to take apart to get at it. well, i know what i'm doing tomorrow. thanks. I've got quite the spring project in the works here.

i've been running an nx2000 belt with no a/c tight fit but works, 2.5 yrs strong
goodyear belt 330k6
tank's a lot
Excellent, thanks guys, i'm removing my a/c too.
I think I ended up using a 335 length and not the 330. the more ribs the better.

perhaps the cooling unit seen in the below link is meant to be gutted of interior parts and/or replaced with a heater duct shown or modified as req.

Noticed anything "funny" with the exchange rates and parts prices lately:
