front speakers

im about to put in my old 5.25in mb quartz components. Haven't done it yet, but i've taken out the shitty front speakers and looks like im going to have to take some mdf board and cut it to fit. Looks like a 6inch speaker could work too.

I have installed 6.5's in mine but you have to make sure theyre slim because your window wont roll all the way down if not!

factory size is a 4x6 speaker

yea i put rockford punch 6.5in midway speakers in the doors. you have to be careful about the size of the magnet on the speaker...that is what you need to be concerned with for the window to be able to roll down.

Trouble finding good mounting points. 

You might need to redrill some mounting points. I have 6.5" rounds rockford speakers and I just put dynamat under to fill up the little gap that it had. I just drilled out 2 small holes for it and screwed it in and its really secured.
