Winter Fun GTiR
Hey Just pick up my second GTiR for this winter and I’m loving it. My first car was sold to ZED not zee and i was so sad the day drove away. Wanted another since then and i found this little gem. Lots will change over the winter and summer so stay tuned (I want a gt2871 and AEM EMS). I have a drift car that takes all my cash so ill do my best to keep up with you guys. ZED not zees car when I first got it!
The new toy when i picked her up.
Finally got both home.
Started driving her.

got a bunch of goodies on this car. recaro driver seat, defi gauges, HKS SSQV, Blits intake, Advan wheels, 3' downpipe and 2.5' cat back, nismo front and rear diffs and a bunch more. Just wrapped my exhaust manifold on the skyline.

Changed the SSQV with a Sard R2D2, replaced the cap plugs and wires. Put the GTR front lip and test pipe on and now my coilovers are Fed so got something in mind to get me through winter with a set of winter tires.
Might be a bit low for winter.
good too see man ive done lots of work to your old R a strong running car!.. body and paint this year!!!
Mine isn't bigger than yours.. I just like to drive
Good to know she's getting the love I would have given her.
what front lip is that
The front lip is from an R32 GTR and it takes some patience to fit.
I have a similar Recaro. What did you need to do to put it in?
Only Chuck Norris can own a GTi-R. The GTi-R owns everybody else.
The guy I bought the car from sourced the RNN14 Recaro rail from J-Land. Not easy to find but they R around. He does go to Japan regularly so I am sure he could find you a set. PM me if you want his number
That's a slick tricycle! Whats it run in the 1/4?!
How do you like the recaro drivers seat. I have tried a couple of different ones in mine and find that they constrict my legs to much and make it hard to turn the steering wheel. However I am probably the max size for this car (6'2" and 230lbs), I need the seat to be almost as far back as possible.
Never had it at the strip but we converted it to AWD and it puts down some serious power!
I'm 6'1 170lbs and it's a bit tight. I would modify your rails so the seat sits right against the rear seats. I did this in my buddies Soarer.
winter wheels!!
More picks when i mount some tires.
Some will love, some will hate.
Im all for crazy rims, but they make your car a vandal target. so im not sure i would ever put rims like this on my car, as awesome as it would look or not. Paint your car red and put these on for christmas :p
I like. Did you paint them?
Also my body guy is going to fab up a Recaro bracket when he fixes my 1/4 panel rust. Thanks for the offer though!

Thanks Guy. I just painted them and they should look cool rippin in the snow.
Picked up a brake kit the other night
BRAKE KIT!!!
-S14 inner and outer tie rods
-R32 Calipers
-R32 redrilled PBR rotors
-ARP extended studs
-hubs from a jdm Nissan van.
These hubs/knuckles allow for more steering angle so this will prob be my favorite upgrade on this R. I will not be doing the install till January.
Big thanks to RIWORX.COM.....
funny how you white out the plates except for the one with the most clear view of it.
LOL... I forgot to do that one...

So here's a questions I've not been able to find an answer to. When painting rims like you have, does the paint on the bead get all messed up when tires are mounted? Being that it's not as durable as say powdercoating.
Only Chuck Norris can own a GTi-R. The GTi-R owns everybody else.
I did a set of rims in hot pink for my drift car and had about 5 sets of tires mounted and did not mess up the paint. Lots of lube and you should be fine. I hope the green set dosent get Fed....
I'm certain a good wheel shop should be able to install painted rims carefully and they'll look great; but the paint will wear off at the bead where there is contact. Hopefully not an issue and powder coating would be great.
I can really see the reason for brightly colored rims in winter. I had s yellow set and a red set for my little mitsu based ice race car.
Rather than a vivid contrast in wheels and body color, I recently had some rims paint-matched 'twice' on another jdm vehicle i own. Second time painting the same wheels because of a subtle color difference with the whole car's respray. Close but no cigar using two different companies and the same paint code
[Most of the problem matching was getting the actual formula for the japanese paint code in NA itself]
There were two approaches to painting the wheels:
1.
The wheelwrights who repaired and trued the rims, painted them without masking off the wheel prior to respray. They do it that way all the time no probs. Powdercoating's recommended, but i wasn't convinced it would accurately match body color or luster, so a special mix of rattlecan paint was applied in many light layers.
2.
A large auto factory associated bodyshop where my jdm car was later being painted, masked the wheel off [as below] prior to their respray. The wheels were painted along with the rest of the trim like mirrors and door handles. They noted the previous over-spray from the wheelwrights job but said it shouldn't be a big problem.
Nonetheless, the paint shop always mask off their wheel painting jobs, [using bleed resistant and water resistant paper wrap]. They're assured of no possible problems with any leaks at the bead attributed to the paint job. No doubt leaks could occur, so better safe than sorry.
fwiw: ... the cost of the job was fifty cdn per wheel extra to get paint at the bodyshop as part of complete re-spray using a computerized color matching process and the same paint as the car. Wheelwright charged only thirty bucks extra for the paint. Both coverings looked great.
i hope that helps ...

i'll b gone for longer now that gt5 is out in a week, starcraft is way cheaper than playing with the car sometimes..
http://www.getgadget.ca/purchase.html + http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/wheels/devices/5184 + f12010 and gt5 will keep me happy since BC has changed its excessive speeding laws.
