Detailing the R

Back in April I took about 5 hours and restored the paint to the best of my abilities.

- Washed and fully dried the car
- De-oxidize with step 1 paint cleaner
- Wash and fully dried again
- Claybar to remove tar, grime and sediments
- Washed and fully dried again
- Scratch Remover in liquid paste form
- Buffed and polished
- Scratch Remover in hard wax form
- Buffed and polished
- Applied some Carnuba hard wax
- Buffed and polished
- and finally finished with some quick detailing spray wax

It had turned out pretty good but I still wasn't happy so yesterday I decided to do it all over again. See the results for yourself:

Looks good, man. Those red accents make it look neat too. I used Meguiar's Step 1 paint cleaner to remove the oxidization too; it works well. I also removed the rear mudguards to clean them up and underneath. Tried removing the rear spoiler to clean up under there too, but wasn't able to remove it with ease. I think it has 2 sided adhesive to keep it on. Another thing that I did was remove the side faring and front inner fender liners. I notice mud can build up inside the rear of the front fenders. Washed out the accumulated dirt and let it dry. Good to go, like the taco bell commercial.
