whats the widest wheels you can run???
so I need new wheels. im making the GTiR bassically a street driven time attack car. So i wanted to put down a lot of rubber, so i was wondering your oppionions on the best size combo for such a car. thanks, Croy

probably the 15x8 6ul's with the right offset and coilovers. if u use utilize wide fenders, i bet you could run up to a 9inch rim
I am going to be running 17x8 45mm offset with a 20mm spacer. 235/40/17 tires but I will have to roll the fenders...will keep you posted on how it works/looks.
FYI - you can run a more shallow offset with coilovers as it leaves more room between the tire and suspension.
6UL's are killer wheels btw.
Ya thanks, im curious to see how it works out. those 6UL's are a very good option. right now im runing Volk Euro-c 15x7 in a +35 offset. but they had a date with a curb last month and are kinda messed up :(
Sooo,
I'm trying right now to fit some 225/50-16 RA1s and running into some rubbing...
Anyine runs without the inner fender trim piece? This is where I am right now (next step will be to hammer the inside lip behind the trim and possibly reinstall the trim with some self tapping screws...
That's for the rear of the wheel, and for the front, I think spacers will do.
Any success stories from you guys??

I'm running 15x7 (not sure on the offset, but probably 40mm) Enkei's with 195/55R15 595EVO's. I run 15mm front and 25mm spacers in the rear. Fronts rubbed so I've cut the fender and removed the liners. Rears were good, mind you I run 3.5 and 3 deg of camber fromt and back...

Thanks Anthony for the heads up...
About the fronts with spacers, where was it rubbing?
I'm wondering what spacer width would yield to less rub, 15-25mm? Depends on the wheel offset and tire, but any general guidelines (from experience) would be much appreciated.

i run enkei es tarmac's 15x7 +35 no rubbing front or rear with oem springs and 205/50 falken azenis rt615's which are actually closer to 215. they also clear the fastbrakes 11" brake kit without spacers. i only rub on full lock on the inner fender liner
15x8 0 offset here. Dropped on coilovers. 15 mm spacers in back. Need widebody. Shooting for a 225 tire this year.
Thanks Anthony for the heads up...

McDave,
The fronts rubbed on the tabs where the skirt attached. I cut both fenders right at the inner lip of the little fender trim, I'd guess 5mm or so. The rear catches on occasion, but i fixed that by bumping up the damping on the coilovers, theres a little lip at the back of the fender, I think that's where it's catching now....I didn't rub at all with 10mm spacers on the front.

you run that camber on the street!!!
while we're on the subject, whats the largest overall diameter of a tire that you can run before hitting the struts/ or coilovers?
