Thinking about joining the few
So. I love these things.
I kinda fell in love the first time I saw one in real life. Now... I want to buy one.

It's got a ton of kms... what kinds of issues should I be looking for? Pointers? Anyone else got one for sale?
I'm in Winnipeg, I'd have no problem heading out to Alberta... or Eastern BC. West Ontario would be fine.... but after Thunder Bay I'd start waffling.

Hmm i don't think i recognize that one! Looks like its a little expensive, unless the further inland you go from major shipping ports the more expensive it gets? It being safetied is very handy though, because i know first hand its a pain to safety one of these things with no north american counterpart. Basically stock is definitely the way to buy one though, that one looks fairly clean. I'd have a good look at it though before you consider buying it.
Yeah, RHDs do get more expensive the further away from BC you are, but this seems kinda steep - especially because of the mileage. RHDs are dropping in price like CRAZY across the field. The market is kinda flooded RHD-wise. In fact, apparently the number of imports from Japan is down this last year. Interesting.
Anyway. I'm the market... I'd consider buying three different types of vehicles (all RHD) and it's kind of a race for which vehicle I find first. Right price, right condition... then I'm sold! Hilux Surf Turbo Diesel, Pajero 2 Door Turbo Diesel, or a GTiR... you may now sing "one of these things is not like the others".
Currently I have my little Kei Truck, but want something a... little faster.... 660cc is usually awesome, but an upgrade would be nice.

there are cleaner ones for sale on this forum.. and cheaper
Mine isn't bigger than yours.. I just like to drive
Yeah. There isn't right now though. There's a few on Kijiji but they all want in the $8000 range. Which, depending on the car, is reasonable.
Dude on this ad isn't getting back to me anyway. :P
I'm in no hurry. We'll see what crops up. Chirp me if you hear anything :)

Prob due to the fact that you can't register rhd vehicles in quebec no more

Ryan, did you notice the Postal Code in that ad? Looks like that GTI-R is in our neck of the woods, again. We live in the Pulsar capital of Winnipeg, ha ha.
Good luck finding the R that makes you happy, Robbieg.

All go, no show
I did notice that, but i looked at the map on my phone and didnt recognize any of the street names. Now that i see it on a computer screen i realize its a 2 minute drive from my house! I think i'll have a drive by today and hope its sitting on the street. Also notice the Nissan sitting behind it? I wonder if that is Heiyyou's 180 from winnipegheights...
oh?

if u look at the 240 in the background...that car is a father son team that goes to alot of shows, pretty descent car....when i firt bought the pulsar the father was talking to me about pulsars and he was tossin up between a 240 and a pulsar...maybe they bought both...and i believe they are on that side of the city! but ya id say buy it! super fun
2 years later and i'd go buy this thing right now, i'd built a mean fast R for drag. I just took a drive by it and it looked pretty clean, and all stock except for rims and some exhaust. Its right on where the map shows it is, Ty
