Someone whant REAL Engine Mount?!

Hi everyone,

I'm working in a shop where I have a 3D Hand Scanner and a lot of tools to create many custom parts, and my next project will be; Will try to do some engine mount with upgrated bushing. The part will be in Aluminium or in Steel.

My question is: Is there someone interested in this project? If yes, I'll check and do all the engenering to be able to do the engine mount and more there is poeple, less it cost.

Is it a good idea? Some specification to give to me? Tips, etc?!

If you are interested by this project, let me know here and in my Private Message and if someone whant an other custom project or parts, just let me know, where I work, we are custom specialist!!!

i'd do fender braces, they'd help on this flimsy chassis
a do luck type cross bar, that runs across the floor
a 3 or 4 point triangulated strut bar in the trunk/hatch area
a 4 point underbrace that has actually good ground clearance

i wouldn't bother with engine mounts, you can get upgraded bushings and press them into the stock mounts

I like your ideas, but the one that attract me more;

- 4 points underbrace

- luck type cross bar that run across the floor.

But I don,t understamd your firts idea.. fender brace.. what do you mean by that? Got a picture? French translation?

Let me know!

4 point underbrace may be difficult as everyone has a different downpipe , so it will not likely sell

the fender brace i think has the most gain for our car

Ok ok now I understand!

Sure it will be a good project! I'll check about it in the next few weeks to view the best stucture we should use and etc. I know someone that make structure analysing so we can maximise the fender brace in it's design and strenght, if you have other ideas I will compilated for the futur and maybe having a new part line for GTI-R :)

Hey take it from me you dont want solid motor mounts unless you have a full race car with a proper cage. Poly is more than up to the task.STU_92111_019.jpg

I'm actually in researche of the material I will use to do the style of a ''polyeurethane'', etc. The mount will be in aluminium, but the center is in research, so we can choose the stiff of the ''polyeurethane''.

I'll let you know when my research will be more accurated.

If I post here, it's just beacause I want to push the GTI-R aftermarket parts, beacause I have now all the tools to do about anything for prts and modification.

If you don't want motor mounts, fine, but it will be my project, I'll develop those and IF someone is interess in thopses parts, great!! It will push me to make them! It's a project like other, just me the developpement and the machine shop I don't pay for it, so it cost me my time and the the material.

Simply as that, if no one want some inovation or inegenering about the GTI-R, fine, I'll keep all the litle secret for me.

Cheer!
