Ok, my turn! swapping the clutch, and with the help of a hoist from none other than Princess Auto. its not too hard actually. Start of the tear down.. Rear lowering springs, thanks to Nick! Mmmmm, turbooo In the air, lacking a motor View from the rear. So, this is so far. I'll continue taking pics through out the project.

Yes, its by MaxJax. I'm not sure how much it will be, I kind of got a special deal on it. Look for it in the upcoming PA catalog! A picture of it with my car on it may be in it ;)

yo atomic, what do u think of clear side markers?
I think they would look dope with ur car. but it is 50$ for only looks

Posted: Mon, 04/26/2010 - 5:00pm

I totally agree they look hot, I'd love to get my hands on some clear markers but I won't go out of my way and pay ridiculous shipping for show parts hehe.

I believe there's a "how to" on removing the amber from the stockers... If I find it ill post it

^ hey dude, were talking about the side markers and not the turning signal. It is super easy to get the turning signal to go white, must simply buy some of those chrome bulbs and throw them in. ViZi0n has them and it looks great. He's also the one who gutted the yellow inside of the rear tails which also looks very hot.

Posted: Tue, 04/27/2010 - 7:09am

Oh, hey atomic, I never noticed the red stripe on the side before! It looks mint with those rims!

Posted: Sun, 05/02/2010 - 2:07pm

More pictures.. someones else has to have stuff from this winter, post em up!

No!! my engine is falling apart!!

Can someone tell me if that red sealing stuff is oem? And if it's needed, should it go around the whole outside where the gearbox connects to the transfer case, or just around the circular part that surrounds the shaft.

Clutch completely toast, right down to the rivets.

Just another one to help with that red sealing jazz.

More to come of course!

Peg_Pulsar. Excuse my noobness but is that how you change the clutch. The whole from end drops as you lift the car?

I'll be doing mine some time this summer.

Posted: Sun, 05/02/2010 - 5:38pm

Yep, at least thats how i'm doing it, i had a bunch of other stuff i was fiddling with, so i think dropping the motor is the best way to do it. Apparently there is a way to do it without dropping the motor, but it looks like it would be a huge pain to do yourself that way.

I can see how you could get to all but two bolts. Theres the two that are like inbetween the tranny, and diff/transfer case. I needed to take the speed sensor out to get at them, and the are on the top of the trans. Were they nearly impossible to get at? Props for doing it yourself though, some craftiness would need to be applied to get that beast out.

Posted: Tue, 05/04/2010 - 7:36am

I would never take the trans with the transfer case out in one shot again...  way easer to seperate... oh and I took about 1 CM off the bolt by the speed sensor when I reinstalled it. so the bolt can be loosened to the point where it clears the trans without removing the speed sensor.

Next Time Im deff gonna use your method LOL!
