Post Flamers...

Her's what I hate about Web forums... right in this post http://www.canadagtir.com/forums/technical/engine-performance/highest-rev-limit-stock-motor...

This guys asked a question,  No one needs to comment on why he asked,  If you've got a constructive answer than add it... if you've got a constructive question to form a constructive answer than ask it.
But if you've got an opinion than save it for when an opinion is asked.

any one else Chime right in,,,

totally understand your point, people tend to overstate themselves, i wouldn't let it bother me

I was irked initially by trolls.
Can most people spot a TROLL?
They can be fun to hunt and trap but don't cook up very well and leave a bad odor when roasted, they are best cooked over an open flame on a sharp pointed stick.
>LORNE @ T7X_o_o_o post code [first name & location, for the nickname here and elsewhere you all can guess or find it yourselves ..] ...how did it work out on the Montreal car forum? Doing the exact same thing here? How's your info service developing? Do you think you should at least change the name you use as it was too easy from there to actually locate your business site address and 10-20. Ha ha, don't go away, just change your posting names, emails, and take out a few more memberships and try and pump up the volume elsewhere like normal.
Hey, is that a gtir against the curb in front of that other persons house?

PWNED
“ Trolling is a game about identity deception, albeit one that is played without the consent of most of the players. The troll attempts to pass as a legitimate participant, sharing the group's common interests and concerns; the newsgroups members, if they are cognizant of trolls and other identity deceptions, attempt to both distinguish real from trolling postings, and upon judging a poster a troll, make the offending poster leave the group. Their success at the former depends on how well they — and the troll — understand identity cues; their success at the latter depends on whether the troll's enjoyment is sufficiently diminished or outweighed by the costs imposed by the group.

Trolls can be costly in several ways. A troll can disrupt the discussion on a newsgroup, disseminate bad advice, and damage the feeling of trust in the newsgroup community. Furthermore, in a group that has become sensitized to trolling — where the rate of deception is high — many honestly naïve questions may be quickly rejected as trollings. This can be quite off-putting to the new user who upon venturing a first posting is immediately bombarded with angry accusations. Even if the accusation is unfounded, being branded a troll is quite damaging to one's online reputation."

The guy who is posting the stupid posts as a sock puppet or troll will recognise he is outed and maybe will stop. He did the same on a montreal forum and was asked to stop and seemed to move on. He crops up here and does exactly the same type of thing.
There are trolls and then there is trollish behaviour and then there are newby's.
[edit: and there are trolls who search out new groups and join right away and lurk for months adding new members to chime in with as they go it would appear]
The newby's suffer initially, but the eventually the basic foundation of the forum is compromised. imho.

so this is what they want us to do .... and we should follow?!!

put up with bullshit and get steered into expensive damage so we need parts they highly recommend. BS! Look for patterns of posters, check across other forums. Here is a prime example above.

the truth sucks, forum's are rigged to shake out filthy lucre, garner as much info as possible for their own purposes, and most of all, sway and control opinions.

imho i will do exactly the opposite as the troll group suggests and call bullshit when i find it and hope others will do the same.

as the spanish say: tragame la quenta por favor

funny how he gives me a hard time, when i've probably submitted 25x more reviews and constructive posts than he has

true. i think that's the way they operate, divide and conquer and make an end off each side.
It's likely either they want to destroy reason and create a move to spend money in a certain direction, or create an opportunity for a shill to destroy the critic. That would win favor to develop some bandwagon approach in the future towards a marketing scheme to separate money by some recommended premature destruction of parts or misdirection.

it really sucks but data, money and duplicity getting it is their trip imho
