Done.

Guys, I know you might never even drive on our roads but your support would be much appreciated in the matter. There are currently less than 2600 registered RHD in QC and they are just trying to corner us. Please speak up with us and ensure this doesn't propagate to your province.

Thank you all.

Done! I'm not in Quebec but if it starts there, it could spread to the rest of Canada. Here's the "freetranslation.com" translation of what it says in English.

CONSIDERING THAT the access to the public ways to the Quebec is forbidden, since April 29 2009, to most of the vehicles provide with a flying one to right, with the exception of the 2 500 registered vehicles before this date;

CONSIDERING THAT this measure does not do left the recommendations of the Quebec Table of the road security;

CONSIDERING THAT the European countries, Japan, the United States and the Canadian provinces never saw the necessity to forbid the vehicle circulation provide with a post of driving of the opposed side to their national norms;

CONSIDERING THAT a lot of models nine, having the flying one to the left, are sold to Japan and to the United Kingdom and that, despite the living together of the two positions of driving, that does not affect their reports of road security;

CONSIDERING THAT the recent study of the SAAQ does not hold counts of all the facts and, consequently, that his conclusion has itself to be questioned;

CONSIDERING THAT the two stopped the government, entered in force without previous notice, harmed considerably to the matters of the owners and importers of this type of vehicles;

We, signatories of this petition, ask the national Assembly of the Quebec of done pressure on the government for that are not forbidden the imported, 15 years old vehicles and more, provide with a post of driving to right, and ask that one takes the time to examine all change going in this direction in the framework of a parliamentary commission.

My favourite part is the "vehicles provide with a flying one to the right"... (RHD) Anyways, everybody sign that!

Done. Might as well keep bumping this thread. The freetranslation.com translation is pretty weak lol sorry Peg_Pulsar ;) I'll try to paraphrase it with some free grammar thrown in. Haven't touched french in a while so feel free to correct me francophones.

Considering that access to public roads in Quebec was prohibited to most RHD vehicles as of April 29, 2009 except those ~2500 already registered before this date;

Considering that this measure was not part of the recommendations made by the Quebec Table (not sure what this is) for road safety;

Considering that European countries, Japan, the United States and other Canadian provinces have not seen the necessity to ban vehicles who's driver side is the opposite of their respective norm;

Considering that a lot of new car models sold in the UK and Japan are LHD and share the road with RHD without any effect on road safety in those countries;

Considering that the recent study by the SAAQ does not reveal all the facts, the conclusions they draw should be viewed with doubt;

Considering that without prior notice both levels (?) of government enacted this ban severely damaging the import businesses of these cars;

We the signatories of this petition ask that the National Assembly of Quebec pressure the government to lift the ban on imported RHD vehicles that are 15+ year old and ask that any changes made in this direction be done so in the framework of a parliamentary committee.
