there are a few in calgary that you should probably try to avoid like the plague too... buyer beware.

Wicked little cars though if you can find one that hasn't been totally bagged on...

Still blow's me away to find all that horsepower is such a light all wheel drive car... If I had room in my garage for 2 bigboy toys I'd still have mine...

Good luck, you'll enjoy it when you find one!

yeah i will probably get one from an importer. the only place i really know that has them though is tyee. is there any others that deal with pulsar's? i would love to just trade my civic for one but who would want to go from a gti-r to a civic, lol. trying to sell my civic and get one asap tho.

what is TYEE? is there a site for these guys?

I'm not saying that all the "used" ones on the market, be it kijiji or autotrader or what ever, are shite, I'm just saying that given the nature of these cars, it's pretty easy to find a car that's been riden hard and put away wet as opposed to one that has been well looked after...

I bought mine from Tyee.

I paid close to 9k tax and plated... I had to drop another 4k almost to make the car road worthy.

I'm sure tyeee has some good cars, but this one needed a lot of TLC. Your VERY BEST option is to buy Nick car. I would buy it in a heartbeat myself if I had to purchase another one.

damn dude 4k, ive imported a couple rhd's and they were both about 1k to make road worthy. what did you have to do? i looked a bit on the site and i thought the only big issue was headlight, is there anything i should look for? also what is this nick car you talk of? thx :)

GTIR_DONE bought his from tyee i believe, and i dont think it took him much to make it streetable... I know for sure they've got some nice cars. So i'd say look into tyee for sure. or pm Nick about his car, the word is its very nice, and he keeps it up really well. If i had no choice but to buy another pulsar his would be the first that I enquire about. Plus, it's white (or maybe that earlier ivory color, not sure). So it's not the classic black one that they all seem to be, more rare.

Yeah, bought mine from Tyee, and have nothing but good things to say about it, although no matter where you buy it's basically always "buyer beware"... cost me a battery and battery post clamp to put my R on the road, and about another grand to winterize it, although that's still a bit of an ongoing project / battle. I hasn't failed to start for me yet though, and considering I'm driving it through a Winnipeg winter, that's saying a lot.

thats my car he's talking about, you can read about it here. http://www.canadagtir.com/forums/buy-and-sell/wanted/feeler-wtb-gtir i'm in no need of selling, so unless i get a half decent offer for it i might just keep it as a toy.

looks like you have a hell of a good rep, nick, as well as your car. What is the price range your looking at? once i sell my civic i will definitely be in the market for a gti-r. is there anything that would prevent it from passing safety? it sounds like it has a lot into it, is there a link where you have some pics?
