Newbie here!
Hey Guyz, My name is Mike Kirch and I Joined your forum as I am a pround new owner of a 92 GTI-R that I just finally recieved a week ago. It is grey, has 61000km's & is a virgin car right down to the stock air box. I am floored about how clean this car really is.(not sure if this is generally how all JDM vehicles are but... the underbody looks brand new!) It was garage stored and not a daily driver. There are 2 dents on the roof RR from something falling on it in the container on the ride over. I was very disapointed but, ended up paying much less than originally quoted so... it all worked out in the end. :) I changed the tires, did an alignment, aimed the lights. I didn't do the daytime running lights thing. I have found out what solving parts issues with these cars is all about already, as the car failed the e-test on both hc's and co. and had to track down an O2 sensor. With help from a NTK Techie I was able to get the correct one from my local P-source for 65$ and just modified the connector. Bam the car was running like a top. The whole experience was actually kinda fun. (maybe thats wierd to say, but I always love a good car challenge). I have been cruising non-stop now for days and am so impressed with this little rocket. I really was in disbelief the first time I finally dropped the hammer and let her scream all the way up to the red wall. The smile hasn't left my face since Friday! I am a tech by trade, so I am hoping to be of some help, and hoping to get some help from time to time as I will be learning as I go.(New to the JDM). Looking forward to chatting and maybe even meeting some of you in the future. Thanks. Whosyourgtir76

I live in Burlington... It's funny , you are like the 3rd person to ask me that. I got the car from an idependant lot just outside town here. What's with that place? Are they all hot or something? Even the guy at Rightdrive.ca I was chatting with said not to buy a car there.

they dont have the best cars, most come with no ownerships as they're all from jap wreckers. thats why theyre so cheap, but they do have good deals from time to time. rightdrive.ca...... dont they have that gtir for 15k

Yes they seem a little high on price, and the cars that were there seemed mostly modified heavily. He stated he would find anything I wanted though. I have a valid ownership with mine and all the aution paperwork. I meticulously inspected this car and had about ten of my co-workers, combing the car as it was on the hoist. We were all amazed about how nice this car was. (other than the odd door ding and couple of minor other dents, the car has been well looked after). It's certainly not a former write off or anything that's for sure. The interior is spotless(never smoked in) and even has all the original floor mats.
