Look in to it good cause if you are talking about the same place that ppl have talked about on here they get some pretty skechy stuff search the site and see if there is anything about
that place good luck. Put Tiger Japanese in search and take a look

I wouldn't touch anything from there unless you can take it out, and bring it to another garage. Do a full compression and leak down test and have them go over just about everything else on the car.

id stay away from tiger, they are dicks to deal with, been there a few times looking at pulsar and they are all garbage.

the last thing you have to worry about in a pulsar is body and interior....  the part that will drive u crazy if its not in good shape is under the hood.

buying these cars is taking a risk somtimes just be prepared for the worst!!

Posted: Tue, 03/23/2010 - 2:24pm

no matter where or what you buy always always always test drive it!!! radio off!

pull the dip stick to check for really thick oil and overfilling

if you hear taping, the sales person could tell it's because of the mechanical lifters.... a slight taping is ok sorta exhast leak like.

A good friend bout an R32 GTR from Tiger... 5 hrs later... POW rod nock. Motor was guaranteed a++ ha not...

If they won't let you do a compression test then there afraid of the result.

things to check

rad fluid got oil in it?
compression test
plugs are they white? black?
pull the engine codes?
does it puff blue either on full throttle, in between shifts, or as revs fall off

drive the car around, stop n go traffic, get it nice n hot, then give it a full boost run through out 1-3 even 4 if u can.
does it go through all the gears smoothly without a grind
does it idle after
