GAS PRICES

\ Don't pump gas on April 15th

Hello everyone!

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Because of that, gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On April 15th 2011, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $1.29 a liter in most places.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on April 15th and let's try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

If you agree PLEASE send this to as many people as you possibly can!

Man I don't believe in these gas outs. Consumption doesn't change because you'll end up filling up the day before or the next day and if it costs the oil companies any extra money somehow, their losses will get passed along to you, you can count on that. Ya the gas prices suck but you can always drive less and ride a bicycle instead for short trips or grab a 1.6L beater sentra to commute with lol.

well in relative terms here in BC i pay 1.52 for 99ron or 94mon. which works out to a 70$ fill about every 5 days.  1350$ for annual insurance.. so its not that much different.   I used to fill every 3 days when i worked further out... thank god work is a ton closer now

Forget gas, I pay $2700/year insurance on a car I paid $4500 for.

I'm paying the same. Just finished an insurance quest. NO one will insure a RHD car on a new policy. If you have insurance, you are stuck with it. I even tried high risk writers, and they refused.

I insured mine under a nx2000 I didnt mention it was rhd I tol my broker the vin and he accepted it even though it was a 12 digit vin. I told him it was registered here b4 andhe took it. I pay 3700 a year though but I'm 21 so I think it's alright for now. Anyways gas prices are ridiculous here in t.o 94 petrol is 1.50 a litre which is ridiculOus. I didn't fill up today way too much.

Man you guys pay quite a bit for insurance. I pay $700/yr for full coverage based on $9500 appraisal and this is without any multi-car/home insurance discount.

Gas prices suck period. I remember filling up when the gas was 48c a liter and I'm not that old lol. Yes the gtir is thirsty but you gotta pay to play.

Agreed I regret nothing! For what it is the Pulsar really isn't that bad on gas.

So true AtomicGTIR I remember when it used to be 80 cents a litre. With my insurance it's the first time I am on a policy alone so that's why it's high but it's better than other places who wanted 7000 from me SCREW THAT. I was lucky with my moms insurance broker. Hopefully things get lower gas and insurance

i remember when gas was 35cents a litre for 92 oct

I pay 1100 a year full cov on $8000 appraisal, all my other veh/house insured elsewhere so no discounts at all either. I pumped gas as a kid in the 90's and that's exactly what the prices were for quite a while. 48-55 cents a liter.

I've called so many places on Ontario and they flat out refuse new policies for RHD. Apparently these are recent changes to many Ontario insurers.

i've been chatting to a company in detroit about getting an aluminum drive/prop shaft made for the gti-r
http://shaftmasters.com/
i've got a spare shaft i can measure up, but they probably have better equipment to measure the driveshaft with on a running car.

it's all good, its pretty far out of the way
