I've been eyeballing this car,

It's a great price, but not safetied. The safety expired a week or so ago (at which time it was for sale for $6000).
Horrendous spelling aside, I noticed this
"Needs new window switches"
These are impossible to get... aren't they. I searched the forum, and all I found was "Does anyone have these?" threads, and a few people calling dibs on part-out threads.
So. Impossible... yes or no?

So, the answer is yes... the window controls are very hard to find. Good to know.
That's a beauty. Check eBay Canada uk or australia they have gtir parts and I remember seeing the window switch on one of them if it helps. But they aren't cheap tho.
I had to replace mine, waited until someone was parting out a dead R. I've also read that another Nissan (wish I could remember the vehicle! I think maybe one of those weird "Axxis", or another van-esque 4-door) has the same window-switch box under a different beauty plate, you just need to pop it apart and remove the switches for the rear windows. Do a search on GTIROC, you may find more info there.
