Am looking to buy gtir any condition am from the USA. I would drive to the USA border. To pick up gtir.
Seller has to cross the USA border and meet me outside.
1 you can't just drive across the border under false pretenses and sell a car
2 you can't import a car into the US that is newer than 25 years old if it wasnt originally built to meet FMVSS or CMVSS
RNN14s were never built to FMVSS nor to CMVSS and cannot be imported into the united states
THE ONLY WAY to legally import a GTiR is through a Registered Importer (RI), who must convert the car to federal specifications conforming to DOT and EPA regs
as far as I know, there are no RIs that currently are setup to import and convert RNN14s
the GTiRs that are currently in the US were imported illegaly. it doesn't matter if they are legally registered by a state's DMV. they're not supposed to be in the country.

look in the for sale section, theres on for sale in the states, then you wont have to pay the import duty to the states, no one here from canada will get screwed for illegally importing or selling the car.
mines US legal. got the dot inspection and everything. didnt have to change a thing. just applied for a lot title at went from there. its not realy hard..just took 4 months and $150. iv done it to a pulsar and a r33 skyline. both were passed in colorado. i could tell u how to do it if u want. just cant do it on the east coast or cali.

why would anyone implicate themselves in multiple felonies and engage in fraud across two countries to sell you a car

If your importing to the US as I am ... check box 2a on dot form hs-7 ... then install an alarm. Check box code F on epa form 3520-1 ... Easy as that
