i sold my pulsar and i still got the front skid plate in my garage, also have the little cover from the top mount intercooler
make me an offer for skid plate and you can have them both
40 dollars lol isnt that what i sold it to you for? i had it up for sale for a long time and no one wanted it so i just dropped the price since it was taking so much room in my garage
Here's a three way projection for all those who want to mcgyver the nissan gtir skid plate. Best take measurements off the bolt hole locations on your own car to reverse engineer it, the plate has been nerfed a bit as you can see.
The plate is about 3 mm thick, soft aluminum and about 52 length before the bends, bent it's 40 cm. The red dots indicate bolt holes and the side profile is traced in red.
not for sale ...wysiwyg
Here's a couple pics together of the rear skid plate mounted on my car.
It has taken some damage and suffered rock erosion as seen at the lower right photo.
The rear skid plate is actually a sandwich construction:
two thin layers of aluminum, with a kind of aluminum honeycomb in the middle. Perhaps some resin bonding is holding it together, but i'm not sure.
If you have aftermarket adjustable sway bars and an aftermarket coilover suspension along with a rear skid plate, you may wish to check for interference with the tip of the sway bar and and the rear side edges of the skid plate. This can be seen at the lower left of the image. The swaybar was set full stiff position using aftermarket coilovers and there was hard contact on a couple of occasions each side.
The damage is done now, but if the slackest setting for the swaybar will not need be used, maybe the end of the swaybar could be cut it off for more clearance with the skid plate and aftermarket coils set low or adjust suspension accordingly.
Using Nismo suspension with a Whiteline anti roll bar has produced no contact with the rear skid plate so far.
hey spd-dmn you should find someone who can make these for you and sell them on the side- theres loads of guys who would want skid plates
Maybe what is below will help someone with a project.
I found the online file "GTIR NME RNN14 Group-N Manual.pdf" last year. it's not showing up on the web now to provide a link, so here goes with some selected pics:
The manual details factory rally mods, with 152 pages, 69mb pdf format.
Here's a bit on the 'guards', this is NISMO stuff meant for competition.
Note the originals had 'foam blocks' as part of the setup:
There are other plates too.
still got the skid plate?

to me.. in like July? it's missing some of the brackets that attach it to the car though. gonna need to get something fabbed up.
it's 1/4" aluminum plus the three 1/4" aluminum strips riveted onto it.
this is an original NME/Nismo plate that retailed for $1200 new
you dont wanna know what I paid for it =)
