Yup i am in Kelowna and i think there is someone in Kamloops with one but im not sure...other than that i think they are mostly located down on the lower mainland...

yea...sun is the only day that i have off so if we are going to so a meet it would have to be then, or on sat night..."no_boost" and I have already had a mini meet..lol..it was cool catching up and seeing another gtir in person. kinda neat to see the things that have been done by others to these cars. we even got the chance to have a little rip down the highway...must have looked pretty cool cos we got up to....well lets just say pretty quick in not much time...(both running 11psi (stock))

yeah it was good the first of many i hope. now i am gonna raise my boost and get my timing bang on and then ill come find ya Rich lol.

I will defenitly go if you guys wanna have a meet, I need to learn a lot about my car. I am sure some of you can help me locate the best place around to buy parts and service also? I think about getting a respray also, anyone can recommend a good bodyshop not too far from downtown?

sorry im a bit clueless to Vancouver and the GTIR... just moved here and the GTIR is my new car.

My advice on the car

1. Get a big brake kit, even if its just an 11inch with 4 pistons like mine. I guarantee it will save your life and allow you to enjoy the car far more.
2. Don't get lazy on maintenance.

Nick, here is the plan for the car so far from what I read and learned.

-refinish the interior to 2008 specs and fix the rattles (ongoing task through the mod process)
-Get a 11 inch front brake kit, same as the other guy on this board.
-Get a good intake filter.
-Get a 3 inch turbo back.
-Get FMIC.
-Upgrade fuel. (new pump or kenne bell boost a pump)
-Boost controler.
-Tuning.

some items I will get as I find them, Engine and tranny mount, short shifter, stainless fluids tanks, braided hoses, new vacuum lines, relocate the battery to the trunk, new bushings thorough.

Once im done all this, I will most likely need a new clutch and new timing chain service.

I think its a well proritized path of execution?

I retinked the paint job and I will wait until next season, I might just do a fully flat black treatment for the mean time. :)

Hey all, I just moved out to the island (Campbell River) from southern Alberta. I've had my "little terror" for a couple of years now but haven't done much to it besides a bit of maintenance, and some odds and ends.

hey guys i was thinking of picking up a gtir and i live in langley. just wanted to know if you have a lot of problems with cops when driving RHD. i am going to look at a pulsar soon and if there is anything i should know or ask or anything. i know about the sr20 motor as i drive a g20 now. iv always wanted a gtir and found one in my price range and would like to get it but dont want to get a lemon or get one that will be un-driveable. so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks  

i have not ever had problem with cops. in fact at a road check one night the cop knew all about the car loved it and asked if he could take it for a drive. love mine you will be happy if you get the right one, they are fun as hell to drive.

Ya IV always wanted one. I joined this site like 2 years ago but I could never afford one. If all goes well and I get one you guys will be hearing from me a lot more.

anyone meeting up in van city this summer? I recently got my first gtir
