no pics sorry, basically I welded a bar to the centre metal post and then epoxied it so that the epoxy had something to grab onto other than a smooth spinning metal shaft.

notes for anyone else having this problem. I ended up using a 1st gen pathfinder window motor. direct swap, plug and play. you only need to reverse the polarity in the wires.
