Koyo Radiator

Hi,

Looking to get a new radiator for the GTI-R.  With some research, I found that the KOYO R1977 (53mm) is supposed to fit; in the USA, it shows it for 91-94 Sentra SE-R.  Has anyone fit this radiator into their GTI-R and can it still retain both factory fans?  Does the AC hose interfere?

Thanks.

With the radiator being 37mm thicker, how did you get on with the fans (that is both of them) being that much closer to the snail.

gaz Beware the lollipop of mediocrity, lick it once and you'll suck forever.

I have a thicker rad.   I have heard some running only one fan.  This will be fine because the fan is run off the themo and will only see more duty to get the fluid cooler.  I opted to use two fans.  I just mounted it on the other side, then reversed the wire polarity to run it "backwards".

GTi-R, the best ugliest car I've EVER seen/driven. You can make it cool, you can make it fast but you CAN'T make it look pretty.

Just an update, I bought and installed the Koyo R1977, came with a higher pressure radiator cap as well.  The radiator itself fits very easily, but the electric fan in front of the turbo will not fit though.  Gave it a quick road test with the AC on and ambient temperature of around 24 C.  Seemed ok with one fan, but I I'll probably go to Pick N Pull and see if I can get one from a GA16 Sentra to fit.  I`ll check back soon.

I didn't find anything that would fit from Pick N Pull.
