1990 GTI-R clean Vancouver Island (Sold)

1990 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
Black
5 speed manual
ABS
A/C
160,000km  (I had to remove the old instrument cluster due to a malfunctioning tach. It had 150,910 km on it when I swapped it to a used one that had about 85,000 km. It now reads 93,765 km so that puts it at a little under 160,000 km. )

$8900 obo

Things that came with it.
-Cold air intake
-Catback exhaust
-Front camber plates
-RS-R springs
-Original Nissan umbrella (the guy who sold it to me never noticed it was there)
-Nissan Road Flare
-Momo steering wheel
-HKS Boost gauge.

Things I’ve done to it.
-Professionally tinted windows
-Changed out faulty starter
-New rear seatbelt buckle
-New oil dipstick (handle on the old one was busted)
-16” gunmetal OZ Ultraleggeras with 205/45ZR16 BF Goodrich G-force sports (lots of tread left) One of them has a small scuff from a starbucks drive-through curb. It’s in the pictures.
-Rear LED third brake light
-Daytime running lights
-LHD headlights (to pass inspection)
-Hardwired for Escort Passport 8500 radar detector with remote mute button (I’m keeping the radar detector as it was a Christmas present, but I can leave the hardwire installed if you want it)
-Replaced hatch hydraulics
-New clutch slave cylinder
-New drivers side window switch
-Replaced instrument cluster due to a faulty tachometer
-I just had the sunroof trim replaced. As you can see from some of the older pictures, the car came with a broken trim piece that had been siliconed poorly. It did not leak except under very heavy rain, but it has been stored in the garage since I’ve owned it, so it was not too big of a deal. It just looked very ugly, and it was bothering me. Unfortunately, it cost me nearly $500 to fix.
-1 replaced and 1 rebuilt rear caliper. (It’s a long story)
-Calipers painted red
-New Honda Fit battery
-Replaced the rear side skirt end cap on the passenger side
-Nissan skidplate

Good things about it.
-The windshield is pristine except for one chip that has been sealed on the passenger side. It’s barely noticeable
-The interior is very clean. The car has floor mats that have kept the actual floors in perfect shape. The seats are immaculate, and very comfortable.
-All of the electronics work, including the A/C, sunroof, power mirrors, windows and door locks.
-Still has the umbrella!!!!
-The exterior has no rust.
-Paint is in very good shape, with no significant dents
-It runs really well. I’ve fixed all the problems I’ve encountered along the way. Other than the starter, none of them have been engine related, and the motor still pulls strong and runs like a clock.
-I also have a set of stock wheels with Goodyear Nordic winter tires (Still have lots of tread)

Bad things about it.
-The front drivers side spring turns back and forth slightly in the top seat when the steering wheel is cranked. This makes a thunk noise that had me worried until I tracked it down. It’s more of an annoyance than anything.
-There is a small grind when shifting into 5th under load. I’ve made a habit of double clutching when going into 5th, which alleviates the problem.
-There are a few rock chips in the hood, and the occasional small ding here and there. The kind of thing to be expected from a 20 year old car.
-There is a slight fade on the paint on the roof, and plastic portion of the hood scoop.
-There are two small cracks in the dash. I’ve been told it can be fixed, but I haven’t gotten around to it.
-There is a bit of rash on the passenger side skirt near the end. It’s not very noticeable since I used the paint pen on it.

I bought this car from an import place in Calgary a few years ago and registered it in B.C. when we moved out to the island. It has all the necessary upgrades to pass inspection, including third brake light, daytime running lights, and LHD headlights. It’s been registered and insured in B.C. for a year and a half now.

I’m asking $8900 based on what I’ve seen for sale on the forum and elsewhere. I’m not desperate to sell, as I haven’t yet found a replacement, but the sooner it sells, the sooner I can start looking for something a bit more… German. If someone offers me a fair price, I might be willing to part with it out of convenience. Make me an offer. Worst I can say is no.

Due to overwhelming non-response, I have decided to lower the price. New asking price is $8000. Still negotiable, but I thought this might help peak interest.

as much as it pains me to say this, you likely won't get a response till the price is closer to 6500

Thanks for the input. Hopefully it doesn't come to that... It is in really nice shape, but I guess something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Car looks great, hopefully it doesn't come to you diving the price. I noticed that east coast prices are more around what you're looking for.

Thanks. I think I just have to be patient for the right buyer. 6500 is a bit lower than I'd like to go, but I am still flexible.
